Deep submission is the process of submitting your site’s each and every page to search engine. Logically, if you will submit only index page to the search engine, then also it will automatically crawl all interlinked pages. So, I think that deep submission is only wastage of time and database space of site submitter as well as of search engine respectively. But this statement varies from one search engine to different search engine.
Why people do deep link submission?
Most of the site owners do deep submission to be get ensured that all pages of their site is submitted and crawled by search engine crawler. And some time it actually happens that search engine crawler ignore some pages of site and as a result of that pages remain un submitted.
When you submit the index page of your site to a search engine, after particular duration search engine sends a “spider” or “bot” or “robot” to look at your page and put the data of that page in the search engines index or data base. Most of the time it happens that spider will follow the links on your main page and pick up some of the inner pages (for example, Google) but sometimes they don’t go deep enough into the site and only one or two of your pages are indexed or crawled.
To get the other pages indexed you have to submit them all separately. But, if you have 200 pages you can’t submit them on the same day to one search engine. So, that would be definitely considered as spamming. So, I think that if you submit one URL per day per search engine you will not get into any kind of problems. But this condition is applied if and only if you are sure that even after submitting index page to search engine, your other linked pages are not indexed or not crawled.
Problems related to deep link submission
- The major problem which is associated with deep link submission is SPAMMING. Because even if you have knowledge that all pages of your site is not indexed, and on that basis you perform deep link submission for your site, then Search engine may look at your site as spammers site.
- Apart from this some search engine enforces you to submit deep links of your site. This generally happens in case of newer and unpopularzed search engines. They want to enhance their search engine data base.
Now let’s move to deep link submission in directories.
Why people do directory submission?
1. To get the back links for their site.
2. To be get crawled by search engines, because good search engines take a reference of good directories.
These are the some important factors to be analyzed while you submit your site to directories-
- You should submit your site in correct category.
- Submit your site to known and reliable directories.
- Now days, some directories make mandatory condition of reciprocal linking.
- For such directories site content matters least.
- So, do not submit sites to those directories.
- Good directories properly read your site content and accordingly they support various search engines.
- Because search engine mostly refer to good directories.
Don’t do deep link submissions in directories-
- If you will submit deep links of your site in directories (apart from index page) then it might happen that directory will consider you as “SPAMMERS SITE”. And then directory will remove your links from the submitted category.
- Some directory makes mandatory condition of deep link submission, I think that those directories are newer one and want to increase the database content. So, I will advice you not to waste your time in such directories.
Thank you.
